The Road You Didn't Expect
Philip was in the middle of a revival. Then the Spirit said: leave. Go south. Take the desert road.
He didn't know why. He went anyway. And waiting on that road was an Ethiopian official with a scroll he couldn't understand — and a hunger that only one thing could satisfy.
Acts 8:26–40 shows us what Spirit-led obedience looks like: not a plan, but a posture. Not a strategy, but a step. This Sunday, Edgar Garcia opens this passage and invites us into what it means to be sent — even when the road doesn't make sense yet.

Trunk or Treat is Almost Here
Every year, our neighborhood shows up. Families from all over Anaheim walk through our gates — kids in costumes, parents looking for somewhere safe and fun. For a lot of them, Trunk or Treat is the first time they experience The Ave.
This is one of the most tangible ways we live out what it means to be a church for our city. It takes a lot of hands to make it great — and we'd love yours.

We are 70 days into something sacred. Starting September 27 — exactly 70 days before our 70th Anniversary on December 6 — we called our church to prayer. And you showed up.
This season is about honoring 70 years of God's faithfulness at The Ave — and stepping forward with expectation for what He is still writing. If you haven't joined yet, it's not too late. There are still weeks ahead to pray together.
This fall is full. Trunk or Treat is coming. Our 70th Anniversary is right around the corner. A lot of people are serving hard to make it all happen.
When life gets this full, our instinct is to move faster. But in Acts 4, when the early church was under pressure, they didn't call a strategy meeting. They gathered and raised their voices together in prayer.
That's what we want to do on October 11. One night. One voice. Every generation. Seeking God together before we step into this season.

Faith wasn't meant to be lived alone. Life Groups are where KACC does life together. Open Bibles, real conversations, and people who actually show up for each other.
